General Tips

  • Keeping Kinetic Energy (resource bar) as high as possible at all time.
  • Sounds dumb but put all the mobs inside your telegraphs :)
  • A warrior has fantastic raid utility...kicks...dgrid...etc... USE THEM.
  • Press R to reset your abilities

Builds

I Highly suggest using Vince Builds to organize your builds.

- General Info -
  • Maximize your Rampage hits/procs
  • Leap, Kick, and Grapple can all be replaced with other utility abilities if the fight requires them (dgrid)
  • The number of mobs doesn't effect the build...But use Whirlwind first before rampage for fights > 3 targerts

STARTER DPS BUILD
  1. Tier 8 Rampage
  2. Tier 8 Whirlwind
  3. Tier 8 Relentless Strikes
  4. Breaching Strikes
  5. Savage Strike
  6. Tremor
  7. Utility {Dgrid | Kick/Grapple | Unstopable Force| Expulsion | Leap | Bumrush}
  8. Utility {Dgrid | Kick/Grapple | Unstopable Force| Expulsion | Leap | Bumrush}
I chose T8 RS instead of T8 Breaching for starters because i think its a little easier for players to keep their KE up and most players tend to over spam relentless strikes while faced with a hard situation so even though your rotation might not be fantastic at least you will be doing more dps. Less dependency on player skill = safer rotation.

Rotation
  1. Relentless Strike x 3
  2. Rampage
  3. Savage Strike (+Breaching)
  4. Whirlwind
  5. Rampage (+Breaching)
  6. Tremor
  7. (Repeat)
The key to this rotation is increasing the number of rampages you can do in a fight by using tremor and savage strike to reduce the cooldown of rampage. Relentless Strike should only be used to bump your KE back up and stop it from Decaying past 750 while rampaging. Whirlwind acts as a nice filler and some nice AOE damage.

Advanced Raid DPS Builds

Build 1 - T8 Rampage | T8 Whirlwind | T8 Breaching
  1. Tier 8 Rampage
  2. Tier 8 Whirlwind
  3. Tier 8 Breaching
  4. Relentless Strikes
  5. Savage Strike
  6. Tremor
  7. Augmented Blade (Optional Utility)
  8. Utility {Dgrid | Kick/Grapple | Unstoppable Force| Expulsion | Leap | Bumrush}
Currently the TOP DPS parsing build. Drop Augmented Blade for Extra Utility when needed

Rotation
  1. Relentless Strike x 3
  2. Rampage + Augmented Blade
  3. Savage Strike (+Breaching)
  4. Whirlwind
  5. Rampage (+Breaching)
  6. Tremor
  7. (Repeat)

Stat Optimization

Ways to Increase your characters stats:
  1. Equipment/Gear/Weapons/Etc
  2. Adding Runes
  3. Consumables

The most common question and the hardest to answer is when do I stop getting STAT1 and get STAT2 forever? There is no "magical breaking point" where STAT1 becomes bad and STAT2 is then always better. There is a point where they both become increase your damage by the same amount. Just because something is more effective than it was before does not mean it is now more effective than the other stat.

Simple Relationships to understand
  • Base damage comes from Assault Power
Stat increase --> Makes secondary stat more effective than before
  • Increase Critical Hit Chance --> Crit Hit Severity
  • Increase Critical Hit Severity --> Crit Hit Chance
  • Increase Multi-Hit Chance --> Multi-Hit Severity

End Game
Base Stats (No Gear + AMPS)
  • Strikethrough- 4.67%
  • Critical Hit Chance - 8.46%
  • Critical Hit Severity - 162.84%
  • Multi-Hit Chance - 10.04%
  • Multi-Hit Severity - 30.00%
  • Vigor - 1.56%
  • Armor Pierce - 0.00%

Food + Boost
Look at the stat Priority for the build and use the one that gives you the largest damage increase. You may need to split food/boost between the top 2 if they are close in damage.

Runes

I Highly suggest using Rune Master

Starter Build (No Rune Sets)
This build is intended for players to use while they continue with datascape gear without the rune materials

Comming soon...

Devastation Crit Build (TOP DPS)

Assumptions
  • Using item level 120 Raid Gear
  • Average HP of 85%.
  • 100% Power Hitter uptime
  • 100% Overwhelming Presence uptime
  • 100% Armor Shred uptime

Stats from Runes

  • Critical Hit Chance - 10.29%
  • Critical Hit Severity - 35.29%

  • Vigor - 1.84%
  • Armor Pierce - 0%

Stats from Rune Sets

  • Critical Hit Severity - 12%
  • Multi-Hit Chance - 0%

Good work, Bamor. Was wondering if you could possibly post a rotation for adding Savage Strikes? and how you might incorporate Aug-Blade?

Two questions: you say that you can initiate a fight by leaping or sprinting, but you're not using Kinetic Drive. Do you not use it?
And is savage strike really a thing? Have to try it out ofc but have not seen anyone using it, looking through your public logs I can't even see you using it..

Flint - Kinetic Drive is only useful in fights that require a lot of movement and no uptime. Its not that KD is bad its just there are other things that are better suited for most situations. Yes savage is a thing. I'm still refining my rotation with it. Most of my logs won't have savage in it but you can look at
Soup's logs for reference.

http://www.wildstarlogs.com/reports/Ta9 ... e&source=2

BakuFanatic - You want to optimize having it up during whirlwind and rampage and have it off and draining the most KE when your using relentless strike when whirlwind and rampage are on CD to keep your KE up. I'm working on simplifying the rotation with aug blade but there are a lot of variables that go into play in terms of how long you should leave AB on. It may only be worth during your innate rotation.

BRegarding rotation with max dps build.
What do you think about:
Rampage>AB on>Whirlwind>SS+BS>Rampage>Tremor>AB off>RS x5

Great guide overall but im wondering what are the crit and ap caps

like stop at 4.5k ap and go for crit w/e

would be nice to know exactly where to stop

Soap - I am working on some numbers for you guy. The way it works is that stats DR and actually effect other stats so there is no point where you want to get X amount of AP for example and then only get Crit.

For example these 2 builds might have the same overall dps (the actual numbers are not exact)

4000 AP, 35% crit

vs

4500 AP and 30% crit

This example is to just show you can have lower AP and higher Crit and still maintain the same DPS ballance. There are a lot more variables that go into play like raid buffs. if you get a lot of crit from raid buffs like VI from Engi's that makes AP more slightly more effective.

Here is a Beta Picture to the DPS calc i'm making:

Hi there,

Have you tested the Hard Rock 20/20 rune set?
The golem does roughtly 6k dps over 12 sec with a 1min cooldown, thus ~100 dps.
With 10 exceptionnal Hard rock runes of Brutality on water slots, you have to lose ~120 to 150 AP.

I’m not sure it is worth it once at the 1680 Brutality milestone and in a raiding context (buff and stuff).
Thanks,

Depends if you are sacking anything else other than AP for Brut. if you cant get 10 exceptionals without losing another set or if the golem can die to DoT or Tele damage. this would impact its potential.

Like CK said for the most part the golem AI sucks and isnt worth sacrificing other rune sets for it.

I think the stats that the runes give are better than the rune sets themselves when you have to make sacrifices and take an unwanted stat. That is why for the most part I focus on rune sets that give AP or Crit since you get optimized stats + a set bonus. You can see below for my current gear Brut is 20% less dmg than AP

Image

Correct, You want just enough Brut to get to 1680 then no more. DS gear will bump you way past 1680 so there is no point having any brut runes.

Sure shot is being changed soon and i didn't want to gear my character around a stupid amp..The only reason i'm taking it is to get to Over Power. Losing any more strikethrough is a larger damage loss then the gain of other stats.

Hope this answers your question :)

Note - Added some major updates.

Thanks for your answer.
Yet, you agree that with the actual Sure Shot, we could get lower on Strikethrough to get more other stats.

Regarding rotation : Do you use AB only on Rampage? What is your threshold on AB Stack?

You want Augmented Blade on, with as high amount of stacks as you can sustain, for as long as possible. My guess is around 8-10 stacks. I haven't done the math/testing yet to figure out what the stack limit is and when to turn back on instead of waiting for all your stacks to drop off. if having AB causes you to spend time below 750 KE the extra bonus you get from AB is then subtracted by the 2% damage loss from being below 750 but above 500 KE.

This is on my TODO list i will try to get some better numbers soon...I'm also hoping to give you guys LUI Aura codes to help with your rotation of when to use what abilities etc :)

In other notes... Major updates to warrior guide please check new rune build!

Radiate isn't great now that your KE isn't going to be at 1000 for full uptime because of the changes to KE + use of Augmented Blade. In addition since the Unity set reduces our Innate to around 40 seconds...and gives you a 8 second 10% damage increase for 8 seconds. Your Innate also increases your damage by 20% normally so here is some math hope this helps...

Average Damage WITHOUT Berserker
120% damage for 8/40 seconds + 100% damage for 32/40 seconds = 104%

Average Damage WITH Berserker
130% damage for 8/40 seconds + 100% damage for 32/40 seconds = 106%

So the amp gives you 2% more damage...which in my opinion is worth more damage than the Radiate amp seems to give you around 1.5-1.6% damage.

Also you tend to Innate as a warrior when you want to do the most damage in the fight so having some control where you can put your major damage (during a MOO or cleaving a lot of adds when they spawn) will give you a larger damage concentration on the key points in the fight!

Why are you using the Venom fusion rune in your weapon instead of Mordechai Redmoon's Ammunition?

It drops in Kel Voreth from the last boss and should be miles ahead.

Because the guides were written with the knowledge and the items that were available to us. The guides were started when F2P was still in beta. When the testing was happening. Majority of the people didnt know about this rune and start switching to it til after F2P. I'm sure once proper testing is done Bamor will update the guide. I will be testing the rune tonight.

Okay returning lvl 50 warrior here. Can someone help me out with the rune section of the guide? I have all these rune tokens that were in my mail box as a returning player.

The guide recommends a weapon fusion rune called "Venom". I cant find that rune on any of the rune vendors. Where is it?
Additionally the guide says....
Class Rune Sets

GA Rune Set - Unity (100)
Tier 4 Bonus
"Tremor deals an additional 739 physical damage.
Savage strike deals an additional 1477 physical damage."
Tier 8 Bonus
"Tremor, Savage Strike, and Smackdown reduce the cooldown of Stance: Onslaught by 2s.
Activating Stance: Onslaught grants an Empower for 8s.
Empower: Increases Melee Damage by 8%.
Disabled while in PvP instances."

DS Rune Set - Burning Rage (120)
Tier 4 Bonus
Whenever you lose Kinetic Energy, deal 325 physical damage to up to 5 enemies within 6m. Can only occur every 1.00s.
Tier 8 Bonus
"Rampage and Whirlwind deal an additional 289 tech damage per hit.
Disabled while in PvP instances."

What are the GA and DS rune sets and where do I find these? I found one rune set from the rune vendor, whose name is DS abbreviated. But I dont see a single rune set with a name that can be abbreviated as "GA".
Nor do I see any runes with those bonuses. They all seem to give stat bonuses the more points in each set you have.

Or has the rune section simply not been updated since the game went F2P with the new drop?
Help! :D :D

Venom is a craftable fusion rune, go to the rune crafting station and in the first tab ("Create Basic Runes"), look to the left sidebar and near the bottom their should be "fusions". There you will find venom, but be sure that the iLVL is set to 120 since venom doesnt have an ilvl 50 version (pick ilevel at top right or rune crafting window)

Class sets, can be found in the 2nd tab (Create Set Runes) make sure you have you class selected should be top left of window. the GA (Genetic Archieves) set is called 'unity' and the DS (Datascape) set is called 'burning rage' they are called GA and DS sets because the materials required to craft them are found in those respective raids by killing bosses.

LMK if you have anymore questions!
